Founder & CEO
Gerard Cooper
Founded in March 2009 by Gerard Cooper, IT Computer Wiz Kids was created to train youth and young adults in IT, computer repair, and troubleshooting. Drawing on nearly 20 years of experience in the IT field, Mr. Cooper developed a hands-on program inspired by teaching his own sons, who showed a strong interest in computers. Both young men attended college before launching careers as IT professionals and business owners. This personal experience led Mr. Cooper to create a program focused on helping at-risk youth gain technology skills and career opportunities.

Program Director/Networking, Cybersecurity, AI, & CLOUD 101 Fundamentals Instructor
Paul Nguyen
Paul was first introduced to computers when his dad brought one home from work, and he has been fascinated by them ever since. While working in an unrelated field, he was usually the person helping his coworkers with IT issues or exploring different settings on the computer. So, in 2021, Paul decided to try out an IT bootcamp, and enjoyed the material so much that he went on to pass the CompTIA certificate exam. Then Paul took the leap to change his career to IT. After having worked numerous jobs, Paul realized the importance of choosing a career that one enjoys. This is why he wants to empower youth by exposing them to IT in hopes to spark curiosity and inspiring purposeful futures.
